Demographics and Enrollment Statistics
Our program takes place during the summer at Fort River Elementary School in Amherst, Massachusetts. Multi-Arts programs, camps, workshops, and events attract families from a forty-mile radius. In addition, we have attracted participants from several other states and countries through our website.
Multi-Arts Programs integrates children from different ethnic, economic and racial backgrounds, ensuring a diverse student community. In the past five years we estimate that 15% have been African American, 15% Hispanic, 10% Asian, and 60% Caucasian. For four summers we have provided presentations tailored to disabled children. A third to a half of these students received financial aid through grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, many Foundation and monies from private donations. Admission to the program is open to any family. We advertise in newspapers and send flyers to all the families in schools in nearby communities, in which it is clearly stated that we offer financial aid and that our program is free for low income families with state vouchers.
