Summer workshops - 8:30am to 3:30pm
    6-8/9-10/11-13 years old

ART: Children create illustrations, make books, posters, and work on props and set design for the plays.

MUSIC: Children sing and play instruments, enjoy games that develop their musical ear, and explore music ranging from Carl Orff to the Beatles.



DRAMA: Each day children enjoy a combination of drama exercises, games, scenes, and improvisations. They participate in rehearsals and produce a final show.

PLAY MAKING: Through games, improvisation, and creative writing exercises, children develop stories that are shared daily in informal performances during the lunch hour. These are then incorporated into a public presentation at the close of the workshop.

DANCE: Guest teachers introduce children to salsa and hip-hop as well as flamenco and other contemporary dance forms..

Locations

Workshops I, II & III will take place at Crocker Farm Elementary School, Amherst.
       Workshops IV TBA

     Workshops I, III & IV will culminate in a theatrical production.
